Here is a list of some of the 3^rd party surveyor toolz

available on the download station.

Protoolz is a set  of switch templates, circle guides and yard templates, complete instructions are included in the _docs file.

These assets were issued for the first Trainz release, they require the addition of  kuid’s to each asset so they will work in TRS 2004.

 

Radius tools is a set of smaller circle tools: 15 - 175m, by: pixelschreck kuid 76465:28011

 

STW Ruler Metric is a baseboard square measuring tool, both horizontal and vertical, by:  emges  kuid 36713:27033

 

Template switches is a different sort of switch template, requires some practice but yields good looking switches. by: mutton kuid 71155:28007

Djb Track Spacer  is a spacing tool to align single track when making double rail lines, comes in 4 and 5 m spacing.

Yard templates in left, right and center configurations are available at the download station, by jojimbo kuid 32105:38002.  The stray bit of road does not affect the operation of these templates. A tutorial is available here.

Track Laying Templates: this pack is a collection of track laying templates in both metric and imperial measurements for the easy creation of consistent even curves.  Contains updated versions of the older templates plus some new additions.  by  Beadyboy kuid 37522:

Surveyor Pics is not a tool as such, but this surveyor asset will let you place pics in your route as reference to placement of scenery, etc... without having to have a second PC screen.  It comes three assorted sizes for your photo to be placed on (be sure to see the READ ME FILE for instructions.) by Ronin13 kuid 97212:

CS_Yard Template_1, first in a series to be released by Beadyboy...

Yard Ladder Template with turnout ratios of 1:6. For every 6 metres of straight track, the turnout track diverges by 1 metre.

1km Square Basemap for 'tracing' contours, roads etc. over. Copy a scan of your map over '1km square X.jpg' and restart Trainz. When 'tracing' complete, delete the basemap object. A new set of track guides  2 & 4 track in 5 & 4.5 meter spacing

A new series of track guides both straight and curved have been released by Mr.Den.  The curved track guides range from 100 to 500m in 25m increments, 180 degree turn with optional straight outlet at 90 degrees. Both straight and curved guides have outer spacing rings for 5 meter track centers.
